16-year old son of ex-Ireland underage midfielder named in Wales World Cup qualifier squad

The good news is that Gareth Bale is back for Chris Coleman’s side.

CHRIS COLEMAN HAS named 16-year old Chelsea defender Ethan Ampadu in his 25-man squad for Wales’ upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

The Welsh take on Austria in Cardiff on Saturday, 2 September before travelling to Moldova three days later and Ampadu could be set to win his first senior cap.

The ex-England underage star is the son of former Ireland U21 player, Kwame Ampadu.

The Chelsea youngster is one of six uncapped players in the squad alongside Liverpool’s Ben Woodburn, Barnsley’s Adam Davies, Norwich City striker Marley Watkins, Wolves midfielder Lee Evans and Bristol Rovers defender Tom Lockyer.
